The Confessions of a Bibliophile - Shantaram

I am usually not fond of biographies, I rarely find someone’s life exciting enough to qualify for an interesting biography solely due to them being famous and that disqualifies the majority. Next comes the humble bragging consisting of people doing their best to appear modest while narrating their brilliancy.
I was therefore slightly dubious when starting to read Shantaram by Gregory David Roberts but I was happy to be proven wrong. Not only has the author lived the life of former days’ adventurers, he is also void of hubris while telling his story. The book is quite a page-turner and an easy read while on vacation.
